I wrote my bachelor thesis about ways to achieve the film look on video. Of all the books I read on the topic, the one that influenced me the most was probably Robert Rodriguez' "Rebel Without a Crew". His idea of getting free production value and writing the script around it gave me the idea of shooting a video about the red cross.
The reason to shoot it in a point-of-view style was, no doubt, Guy Ritchie's Nike commercial, "Take It To The Next Level". I inicially thought that filming the whole thing with helmet camera would solve a lot of problems, but in the end it caused more than it solved. I'm not very satisfied with the result, but I learned a lot from the many mistakes I made.
My thanks go to all my friends who helped me, and especially to the Tamsweg Red Cross, for the support.
